News from around the lakes
The Carp lakes (Lodge, Carp, Horseshoe) continue to fish consistently well, the nature of the weather means that although not very pleasant the constant temperatures are making for some great catches.
Regular 30lb fish are getting caught in the Lodge lake with pegs 1,5,8 fishing the best overall. The Carp & Horseshoe lakes although down on average size from the Lodge have produced some great winter fishing with lots of mid doubles being caught..
As many of you are now aware the Bridge pond is now permanently shut for pleasure fishing and will now house 4 luxury cabins similar to the ones on the Spring pond. We expect these to be open early July!
Many of the fish in the bridge pond have been netted and re stocked in the match pond or moved on .
The match pond will no longer hold matches as its now a pleasure lake for general fishing. Some great bags of fish have recently been weighed in from pegs 28, 40, 36 to name a few and the good average temps are keeping catches consistent
