"Welcome to the Cefn Mably lakes website. This coming year will be our 16th year in the fishing game and each year we look for ways to improve and keep our standards to the highest order. This year we have added a new on - site tackle shop. We thought this was the natural next step in our development. It's important to offer anglers what they want and it's the one thing that we've been asked for more & more. With the addition of some major new stockists we feel we can offer the angler everything all on one site. We're very excited to see how it'll go and early indications are excellent with nothing but positive comments from anglers. We also look forward to the new lake being constucted in the summer. The WINTER COMPS are back. Our popular trout fishing competitions are returning on the 6th December for some winter fun. The 2 fish/heaviest weight comp is £22.50 to enter, this includes 2 fish and £7 which goes into the 'pot' for some lucky punters to win. The comp kicks off at 8.30 and finishes at 12.30. FISHERY RECORD SMASHED

Matt sparks from Newport broke the fishery record in mid July when he landed a 31lb 6oz Mirror Carp on bread from the Carp lake. It took Matt 25mins to land the fish and when he finally got it to the bank he had an audience to witness the catch.
