SKY SPORTS AT CEFN MABLY LAKES

On Monday the 10th July we welcomed some celebrities from the fishing world to record an episode of FISHING GURUS that will be aired at the end of August on SKY SPORTS.


Steve Ringer and Adam Rooney fished the Bridge Pond to demonstrate the method feeder and the pellet waggler. Dean Macey presented the programme and Ali Hamidi (korda) organised the day and also fished in between filming.


Steve Ringer started of fishing the method to the tip of the 1st Island and immediately went about putting his rod to the test. He was catching at a fish a chuck and landed mirror's and commons to 7lb. He then changed to fish the method feeder down the edge and dropped in inches from the next pontoon. Feeding occasional pellet over the top he soon started picking up big lumps and landed his best of the day an 11lb Mirror. In total he landed well in excess of 200lb


Adam Rooney fished the pellet waggler and fished tight to the tip of the 2nd Island. Adam caught at a faster rate than Steve and was putting Crucians, barbel and Carp in his net. After a frantic few hours on the waggler, Adam also changed his approach and fished down the edge with his pellet waggler and also landed some big fish to 9lb. Adam landed easily in access of 220lb.

2012 - Update!! - 10/05/12!

We have just entered our 19th year in business and the next 12 months will be as busy as ever with lots happening. The winter has seen the re-development of the horseshoe and that has been a major success and the opening of the exclusive new Specimen pond the Spring Lake with only 3 swims.
More improvements will be made to the Lodge lake and that will only make it better. We also have the exciting prospect of starting our new tackle shop. This will transform the lodge into a large tackle shop whilst still retaining a cafe area albeit a smaller version. We've also launched our new MEMBERSHIP scheme which has been well received. So all in all busy times ahead and we hope to see you all over the next 12 months

Ryan Jenkins had a superb 24hr session when he landed 7 fish from peg 1. Included in the 7 were these 3 cracking fish all weighing over 20lb. All caught on Cell!!
