The lodge lake is a picturesque 6.5 acre fly fishing only water. It is surrounded by 40 wooden platforms linked by a gravel path - No mud here! It is stocked weekly with rainbows along with a sprinkling of Big Browns and Blues. Average weights are 2.5 - 3lbs with bigger fish stocked regularly. We have a 2lb minimum weight, anything under is yours with our compliments!

The changes we made in the winter of 2001 have proved to be a huge success. There are now 40 fishable platforms and with the average depth of the water increased, the fishing has improved. The bank that has been altered has been brought forward to improve your casting and provide some deeper water. And over the winter it's this bank that's been the hot spot, with over 65% of the bigger fish caught from this area. The reeds we introduced have also done a great job of stitching the bank together providing valuable habitat for insects both in and around the lake.
